Cleveland opened a four-game road trip Wednesday night in Toronto and handed the Raptors a heart-breaking 98-97 loss, as Damon Jones hit the game-winning three as time expired.
Jones, who is allegedly involved in a sexual assault case, missed practice on Monday with flu-like symptoms but showed no signs of fatigue in his 20 minutes of work in a home-and-home sweep of the Raptors.
Star LeBron James poured in 35 points for the fourth-seeded Cavs, who will now travel to Orlando on Friday before trips to Miami and Dallas. Cleveland is 7-4 in its last 11 road games and 13-16 away from Quicken Loans Arena.
James, an MVP candidate, leads the Cavaliers in scoring (30.6 pts), assists (6.8) and steals (1.5) per game.
After Cleveland completes its four-game road trip, it will host four consecutive games. The Cavs will welcome Portland, the Los Angles Lakers, Charlotte and Boston at Quicken Loans Arena.
