Josh Howard fined $5,000

New York, NY (Basketball News) - Dallas Mavericks forward Josh Howard was fined $5,000 and received an upgraded flagrant foul penalty two for an incident in Thursday’s 97-91 home loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Howard had committed a flagrant foul by shoving San Antonio’s Bruce Bowen with 3:36 left in the third quarter. The original call was a flagrant, penalty one.

Howard had 20 points and six rebounds in the season opener.
