Mavericks’ Dampier sidelined with foot injury

Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - Dallas Mavericks center Erick Dampier is expected to miss 2-3 weeks due to a foot injury, the team announced Tuesday.

Dampier suffered a stress fracture in his right foot during a February 15 game at Golden State and then missed his team’s next contest against Phoenix last Thursday.

The 6-11 center, a free-agent acquisition this past offseason, is averaging 9.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.29 blocks in 48 games this season.
