Mavericks place Dampier on the injured list

Dampier, who suffered the injury during a February 15 game at Golden State, is averaging 9.5 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.29 blocks in 48 games in his first season with the Mavericks.
The 6-foot-11 Dampier had been hot prior to the injury and was averaging 12.9 points and 11.6 rebounds in the month of February, while registering a double- double in seven of his last nine games.
The Mavericks also activated rookie center DJ Mbenga off the injured list. The native of the Congo has seen limited action in 10 games this season.
