Dallas begins a three-game road trip. On Tuesday, Baron Davis scored 26 points and Jason Richardson netted 22 to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 107-104 victory over the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.
All-Star Dirk Nowitzki finished with 26 points and 11 rebounds in the loss to whe Warriors for the Mavericks, while Devin Harris contributed 17 points and Jason Terry had 15 before being ejected for taking down Golden State’s Monta Ellis on a hard foul in the fourth quarter.
The Mavericks are 0-1 on the road this season, as they lost to the Houston Rockets, 107-76, on Saturday at the Toyota Center. Dallas is scheduled to visit Phoenix on Thusday and Portland on Sunday.
The Clippers try to win their fourth straight contest, as they play the fourth of a five-game homestand. Corey Maggette led a balanced Los Angeles attack with 20 points and nine rebounds, as the Clippers topped the Trail Blazers, 102-89, on Monday at the Staples Center.
Cuttino Mobley scored 17 and Sam Cassell tallied 16 points and seven assists for the Clippers, who won their third straight since a season-opening loss to the Suns at US Airways Center. Chris Kaman ended with 15 points and nine boards, while Quinton Ross registered 13 points and seven assists.
Los Angeles is scheduled to host the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets on Sunday.
Last season, Dallas won the of its four contests with the Clippers. The Mavericks have won two straight after losing their last two at the Clippers.
