Mavs’ Daniels sidelined with neck strain

Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - Dallas Mavericks guard Marquis Daniels will miss approximately two weeks because of a strained neck that has plagued the third-year player since mid-December.

Daniels, who missed five consecutive games from December 16-26 because of the injury, returned to action on December 30 and played four straight games, but had a reoccurrence of the problem during Wednesday’s loss at Minnesota.

Daniels, who turned 25 on Saturday, has appeared in 27 games with 19 starts this season, and is averaging 12.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest.
