McGrady to sit out Thursday’s game versus Minnesota 11.11.2004

McGrady has been bothered by the injuries for nearly a week and felt pain shooting from the groin to his right hip during this past Tuesday’s game versus Memphis. It grew worse when he landed awkwardly after making a first- half jumper and became unbearable after he collided with the Grizzlies’ Shane Battier in the second half.
Team trainer Keith Jones said McGrady is out for tonight and will be "day-to- day" from there.
In five games this season, the 25-year-old McGrady is averaging 20.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest.
The Rockets acquired McGrady, the two-time defending scoring champion, along with forward Juwan Howard and guards Tyronn Lue and Reece Gaines from Orlando in June in exchange for guards Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley and forward/center Kelvin Cato.
