Bucks battle Timberwolves in Milwaukee

12.16.2006

(Basketball News) - The Minnesota Timberwolves wrap up a three-game road trip tonight, as they visit the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Minnesota is scheduled to host the Bucks on December 22nd at the Target Center.

Minnesota has lost two in a row at Milwaukee. The teams have split the last four meetings in this series.

The Timberwolves are 1-1 on the current road trip. On Wednesday, Tim Duncan scored 24 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs over Minnesota, 95-82, at the AT&T Center.

All-Star Kevin Garnett scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Minnesota, which had a four-game winning streak halted. Mark Blount ended with 19 points, while rookie Randy Foye contributed 15 points and seven assists in defeat.

Minnesota is 4-7 on the road this season. After tonight’s game, the Timberwolves return home for a two-game homestand. They will host the Lakers and the Bucks on the upcoming stand.

Milwaukee has lost two in a row and three of its last four games, including Friday’s 117-111 loss to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center.

Michael Redd led Milwaukee with 32 points. Ruben Patterson scored 21 points and had 13 rebounds, while Maurice Williams added 18 points in a losing effort.

The Bucks, who are last in the Central Division, will now host Minnesota and Miami and are 5-4 at the Bradley Center this season.
