Chandler was a restricted free agent after playing a career-high 80 games last season with the Bulls. He averaged 8.0 points and a career-best 9.7 rebounds per game in 2004-05.
"We’re very happy that we have come to terms with Tyson and that he will remain a member of the Chicago Bulls," Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson said. "Tyson’s play last season was an important factor to our success and we hope to take the next step forward with Tyson being a major contributor to our team."
Originally chosen by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round (second overall) of the 2001 NBA Draft, Chandler has averaged 7.6 points, 7.3 boards and 1.4 blocks in 261 career games with Chicago.
Chandler’s draft rights and forward Brian Skinner were dealt to the Bulls for center Elton Brand on June 27, 2001.
"I’m ecstatic that this contract is done," Chandler said.
