(Basketball News) - Dirk Nowitzki scored a game-high 34 points and Antawn Jamison added 22 to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 124-103 victory over the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center.
Michael Finley contributed 20 points for the Mavericks, who have won four straight and remain in fifth place in the Western Conference.
Finley’s three-pointer with about eight minutes left in the third quarter gave Dallas a 74-62 advantage. The Mavs began to take charge and Nowitzki’s five straight points to end the frame gave Dallas a 90-75 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
Finley connected again from beyond the arc to begin the final frame to extend the lead to 93-75 and the Mavs cruised to the 21-point win.
The Mavericks, who played the third leg of a five-game homestand last night, have won four straight, 13 of 14 and 17 of its last 19 at home and are a sparkling 33-5 in their gym this season.
Finley has scored in double digits in 34 of his last 36 games.
The Mavs will return to action on Tuesday against the Seattle SuperSonics.
