Jazz visit Orlando

(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic will open a brief two-game homestand tonight when they welcome the Utah Jazz to TD Waterhouse Centre.

Orlando has lost seven of its last nine games, including Monday’s 97-83 setback to the Indiana Pacers at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Dwight Howard posted 22 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic, whose two-game winning streak came to an end. Carlos Arroyo scored 10 points, and Jameer Nelson added 10 assists in the loss.

After Wednesday’s contest with Utah, the Magic will host the Boston Celtics. Orlando is 3-1 in its last four home games and 16-14 as the host this season.

In the season series with the Jazz, Orlando is down 0-1 after suffering a 90-85 loss on March 6th. Andrei Kirilenko netted 18 points, pulled down nine rebounds and dished off five assists to lead Utah at the Delta Center.

The Jazz play the second of a four-game road trip this evening. On Tuesday, Dwyane Wade scored 25 points, as the Miami Heat routed Utah, 121-83, at AmericanAirlines Arena.

Matt Harpring ended with 20 points in the loss to Miami for the Jazz, who have dropped two straight games. Carlos Boozer scored 12 points, and Keith McLeod netted nine.

Utah, which will also visit Atlanta and Memphis on the current swing, is 14-17 on the road this season.

The Jazz have lost two straight and three of their last four at Orlando.
