=== KG and T-Wolves welcome Warriors ===

Minneapolis, MN (Basketball News) - The Minnesota Timberwolves try to make it a season-best four straight wins tonight when they host Jason Richardson and the Golden State Warriors at the Target Center.

The Timberwolves return home after a successful five-game road trip, which saw Minnesota finish 4-1 on the swing.

Kevin Garnett’s 21-foot jumper at the buzzer lifted the Timberwolves to a come-from-behind 96-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday at Staples Center.

Latrell Sprewell paced Minnesota with 27 points. Garnett ended with 24 points and Sam Cassell contributed 24 points and 10 assists for Minnesota, which notched its third straight win — all on the road.

The Timberwolves lost their last game at home, falling to New York, 97-92, on November 26 at the Target Center.

Minnesota, which is 8-4 on the road, is just 4-4 at home this season.

Brian Cardinal led seven Golden State players in double figures with 19 points, lifting the Warriors to a 104-92 win over the Knicks at the Arena in Oakland on Saturday.

Nick Van Exel added 15 and Calbert Cheaney 14 as the Warriors snapped a two- game skid. Mike Dunleavy and Speedy Claxton each contributed 11 points to help Golden State capture its fourth win in its last five home tilts.

The Warriors are 1-5 as the visitor this season.

In 2002-03, Minnesota won three of its four contests with the Warriors, winning once in Golden State and twice at the Target Center.

Overall, the Timberwolves have won four of five and seven of the last nine meetings between the two squads. Golden State has lost two in a row at Minnesota.
