03.1.2006

(Basketball News) - The Sacramento Kings begin a five-game road trip, as they visit the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at Quicken Loans Arena.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On December 6th, LeBron James erupted for 30 points, six rebounds and six assists, as the Cavaliers held on to defeat the Kings, 102-97, at ARCO Arena.

The Kings have won four straight and five of their last six at Cleveland.

On Monday, Kevin Martin netted a game-high 25 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Kings easily defeated the Portland TrailBlazers, 115-91, at ARCO Arena.

Brad Miller ended with 16 points, 10 rebounds and eights assists in the win over Portland for the Kings, who have won 10 games in a row at home. Mike Bibby netted 16 and dished out seven assists, while Shareef Abdur-Rahim added 15 points and six rebounds off the bench

Sacramento is a dismal 7-19 on the road this season. The Kings are scheduled to also visit Atlanta, Washington, New Jersey and Milwaukee on the current swing.

Cleveland will try and put the brakes on a four-game skid this evening. Rasheed Wallace scored 24 points and Richard Hamilton netted 22, as the Detroit Pistons dominated Cleveland in the fourth quarter, winning 84-72 on Monday at Quicken Loans Arena. Chauncey Billups recorded 15 points and 12 assists for the Pistons, who completed a home-and-home series sweep of the Cavs.

James scored 26 points, while dishing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds in the loss to Detroit for the Cavaliers, who have lost six of their last nine games overall. Zydrunas Ilgauskas recorded 18 points and 15 rebounds in defeat.

The Cavaliers are 20-9 as the host this season. They have dropped two in a row at home.
