Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - The struggling Sacramento Kings play the middle contest of a three-game road trip tonight, as they visit the Dallas Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

Sacramento holds a slim one-game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers for the top spot on the Pacific Division. The Kings are also just one game ahead of the Midwest Division-leading Minnesota Timberwolves for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference. Dallas is in sixth place in the West, two games behind the fifth-place Memphis Grizzlies.

This will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two squads. The teams split a pair of games at ARCO Arena, while the Mavs beat the Kings, 108-99, on January 25th at Dallas.

On Wednesday, Sacramento fell to the San Antonio Spurs, 107-89, at the SBC Center. Peja Stojakovic scored 19 points for the Kings, who have dropped three of their last four contests. Doug Christie netted 17 points and Chris Webber, Vlade Divac and Mike Bibby all contributed 14 in the setback.

The Kings are 20-16 on the road this season.

Dallas has won two straight games. On Tuesday, Dirk Nowitzki recorded 35 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Mavericks to a 126-109 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at American Airlines Center.

Steve Nash scored a season-high 31 points and also handed out 10 assists in the win, as the Mavericks clinched a playoff spot. Dallas also received 19 points and seven boards from Josh Howard.

Nash has averaged 16.5 points and 10.3 assists in his last 10 contests. He has scored in double digits in nine straight and 18 of his last 19 contests.

The Mavericks are an impressive 31-5 at home this season.

Sacramento has won four of the last seven contests in this series. The Kings have won three of their last five at Dallas.
