Lakers, Jackson fined for ’witch hunt’ comments

New York, NY (Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Lakers and head coach Phil Jackson were each fined $50,000 for Jackson’s public criticisms of the NBA.

Lakers star Kobe Bryant has been targeted with two one-game suspensions this season due to hitting players after following through on shots. Earlier this week, Jackson claimed a "witch hunt" was going on against Bryant by the league.

Jackson was also fined $25,000 earlier this season for controversial comments.
