The Cavs opened the second on a 10-2 run finished by an Ira Newble layup at 6:59 for a 27-22 lead, but Utah regained control down the stretch. The Jazz edged a 32-31 halftime advantage.
The Jazz bolstered their lead on an 11-2 burst capped by a pair of Okur free throws just past the midway point of the third, but Cleveland answered on a 12-5 run down the stretch and James’ free throw in the final minute put the Cavs ahead 58-56 heading into the fourth.
The Jazz cut their deficit to 77-73 on a Williams layup with 1:44 on the clock. However Cleveland scored five straight down the stretch to hold off Utah for the win.
