(Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Lakers go for their third straight victory and seventh in nine games this evening, when they battle the listless Chicago Bulls at the United Center.
The Lakers dominated this series in recent years, winning three straight and nine of the last 12. The Lakers have won three of their last five trips to the Windy City.
Los Angeles is coming off a 95-90 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night at the Bradley Center. Brian Cook registered career highs of 25 points and 11 rebounds off the bench to lead the Lakers to the win.
Kobe Bryant added 20 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in the win — the Lakers’ sixth in eight games. Lamar Odom chipped in 16 points and 11 boards, while Chucky Atkins tacked on 13 points. Caron Butler added 10 points in the victory.
Overall, the Lakers have won eight straight against the Bucks, including four in a row at Milwaukee.
The Lakers hit 45.3 percent from the field, while draining 74 percent (17- of-23) of their free throws. LA hit 10-of-26 (.385) from three-point range in the win.
Los Angeles, which is playing the finale of its two-game road trip, has tallied a 3-4 mark away from home this year.
