Magic go Buck hunting in Orlando

01.31.2007

(Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic will try to get back on the winning track when they open a three-game homestand this evening versus the Milwaukee Bucks at Amway Arena.

Orlando has lost three straight and eight of its last nine games, including Monday’s 93-83 setback to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena. Grant Hill had 21 points to lead the Magic, while Jameer Nelson added 16 points and Dwight Howard had 15 points and seven boards in the loss.

The Magic will try to bounce back at Amway Arena where they are 14-9 this season. They will also host New Jersey and New York on the homestand.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are struggling and suffered a 110-80 loss to Miami on Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena in the opener of a three-game trip.

Charlie Villanueva had 17 points and Maurice Williams recorded 14 points for the Bucks, who lost their fifth straight on the road and seven of eight overall. Milwaukee is just 2-12 in January and 8-19 away from the Bradley Center this season.

The Bucks, who are last in the Central Division, will close out the trek on Friday at the Detroit Pistons.

Wednesday’s game between Milwaukee and Orlando is the first of four meetings this season. Both teams split four meetings last season, while Milwaukee has won four of six and seven of the last 10 in the series.

Milwaukee has lost two straight and three of four at the Magic.
