Magic place Gaines on IL; activate Williams

Orlando, FL (Basketball News) - The reeling Orlando Magic placed rookie guard Reece Gaines on the injured list Friday and activated guard Shammond Williams.

Gaines, the Magic’s first-round draft pick, is sidelined with right knee patella tendinitis.

Williams, who has been on the IL since November 16, has missed the last nine games with a sprained left knee.
