Orlando, FL (Basketball News) - The Orlando Magic re-signed guard DeShawn Stevenson on Thursday. Terms of the deal for the restricted free agent were not disclosed.
Stevenson was acquired by the Magic last February 19 in a deal with Utah that sent Gordan Giricek to the Jazz.
"The re-signing of DeShawn continues in addressing our objective of bringing depth, athleticism and versatility to our roster," said Magic general manager John Weisbrod. "We certainly look forward to his contributions to our team."
Stevenson averaged a career-best 11.4 points in 80 games, including 78 starts, last season. In 26 games with the Magic, he averaged 11.2 points and 4.6 rebounds.
The Jazz originally selected Stevenson out of high school with the 23rd overall pick of the 2000 draft. He has averaged 6.5 points in 248 regular- season NBA games with Utah and Orlando.
