Magic try to extend streak against Sonics 11.29.2006

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the squads. On November 8th, Hedo Turkoglu’s fadeaway jumper with 0.4 seconds left on the clock lifted Orlando to a thrilling 88-87 victory over the SuperSonics at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Orlando has won two straight and three of the last five meetings in this series. The Magic have dropped three in a row and seven of their last eight at Seattle.
The Magic play the second of a six-game road trip. Rising star Dwight Howard scored 21 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Orlando to an 88-75 victory over the Utah Jazz on Monday at EnergySolutons Arena.
Veteran Grant Hill scored 16 in the win over Utah for the Magic, who have won four in a row and eight of their last nine games overall. Jameer Nelson scored 15 and grabbed seven rebounds, while Carlos Arroyo netted 13 off the bench in the victory.
Orlando is 4-3 on the road this season. The will also visit the Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings and Indiana Pacers on the swing.
Seattle tries to halt a two-game losing streak, as it plays the third of a four-game homestand. On Sunday, Tim Duncan scored 18 points, pulled down 16 rebounds and dished out six assists to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the SuperSonics, 98-78, at KeyArena.
Sharp-shooting Ray Allen paced the Sonics with a game-high 21 points in the loss to San Antonio. Nick Collison netted 15 and pulled down seven boards, while Luke Ridnour had 11 points and four assists.
The SuperSonics are 2-5 at home this season. They are scheduled to host Jermaine O’Neal and the Indiana Pacers on Friday in the finale of the homestand.
