’Melo injures ankle in Nuggets’ win

Seattle, WA (Basketball News) - Denver’s Carmelo Anthony sustained an injury to his right ankle on Tuesday evening in a game that saw the Nuggets defeat the Seattle SuperSonics, 116-110, in overtime at KeyArena.

Anthony suffered the injury early in the fourth quarter and finished with 10 points in 32 minutes of action. The extent of the injury has yet to be determined.

Coming into tonight’s tilt, the 20-year-old Anthony was averaging 20.9 points and 6.0 rebounds in 31 games.
