=== Seattle SuperSonics Team Report - January 18 ===

(Basketball News) - The Seattle SuperSonics go for their third straight win and fifth in six games on Tuesday, when they tangle with the reeling Denver Nuggets at KeyArena.

The SuperSonics have won both meetings between these teams this season, including a 98-93 win at home on December 22. The Sonics have won four of five and six of the last eight in this series, including two straight and three of its last four at home.

Seattle picked up its fourth win in five games on Sunday, tallying a 105-97 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at KeyArena. Ray Allen led the way for the Sonics with 27 points, while Vladimir Radmanovic added 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Luke Ridnour registered 18 points and Antonio Daniels chipped in 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds. The Sonics hit 45.8 percent from the field, including 10-of-22 (.455) from three-point range. Seattle drained 29-of-32 from the charity stripe.

Seattle dominated the Cavaliers, 50-31, on the glass, making up for the team’s 23 turnovers. The Sonics did their damage without Rashard Lewis (knee), who is posting 20.6 points per contest. Lewis is questionable for tonight’s contest.

The Sonics, who have won the first two of their current five-game homestand, are 15-3 at KeyArena this season. Seattle remains atop the Northwest Division, 8 1/2 games ahead of Minnesota.

In its final games of the homestand, Seattle is scheduled to host Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday and Carlos Boozer and the Utah Jazz on Sunday. The Sonics are 2-0 against the Jazz and 1-0 against the Timberwolves this season.

Allen has scored 20 or more points in four straight games. He is averaging 25.5 points per game in that span. The Connecticut product has scored in double-digits in all 36 of Seattle’s games this season. Allen is Seattle’s top scorer (24.1 ppg).
