Streaking Pacers continue homestand against Warriors 02.10.2006

On Wednesday, Stephen Jackson poured in 25 points and Peja Stojakovic tallied 23, as the Pacers cruised to a 101-69 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Stojakovic showed the sharp-shooting expertise that brought him to Indiana in the trade that sent disgruntled forward Ron Artest to Sacramento. The forward made 9-of-15 from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Fred Jones scored 14 points, David Harrison contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds and Danny Granger added 11 — all off the bench — in the victory.
Scot Pollard scored six points and pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds for Indiana, which had lost six in a row prior to their current winning streak.
The Pacers, who will close this stand with visits from San Antonio, Milwaukee and New Orleans/Oklahoma City, are 15-7 in their arena this season.
Golden State, meanwhile, comes in on a losing note after dropping a 129-124 decision to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday at the MCI Center.
Jason Richardson delivered 31 points while Baron Davis had 28 along with 13 assists for the Warriors, who have dropped seven of their last 10.
Mickael Pietrus finished with 18 points and Troy Murphy had 14 along with 12 rebounds in the setback. Murphy, though, is questionable for tonight’s affair with an ankle injury.
The Warriors, who will close a three-game road trip in Cleveland on Saturday, have lost six in a row on the road and is 8-13 away from home this season.
Golden State lost to the Pacers earlier in the season, but has won two of the last three matchups. The Warriors, though, have lost four in a row in Indiana.
