Timberwolves travel to Toronto

The Raptors had a two-game winning streak halted on Wednesday in a 110-96 loss to the Boston Celtics.

Mike James had 31 points, while Chris Bosh scored 24 points, pulled down 11 boards and dished out a career-high eight assists. Morris Peterson and Matt Bonner had 10 points apiece for Toronto.

Toronto just released center Antonio Davis on Thursday. The veteran was sidelined the last 12 games because of a back injury and was acquired from New York in early February.

The Raptors will return home where they are 2-3 in their last five games. They are 13-20 as the host this season.

Minnesota also had a two-game winning streak stopped, losing to the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday at Continental Airlines Arena.

Kevin Garnett had a game-high 24 points and pulled down 11 boards, and Marcus Banks and Mark Blount each added 18 points for the Timberwolves, who have dropped eight of their last 10 contests.

The Timberwolves will close out a brief two-game road trip in Toronto and have lost nine in a row as the guest. Minnesota is just 8-26 on the road in 2005-06.

Toronto leads the season series with the Timberwolves after posting a 98-94 win on February 13th at the Target Center.

The Raptors have won the last three meetings with Minnesota, which has lost three of its last four trips to Toronto.
