(Basketball News) - The Utah Jazz host the Seattle SuperSonics on Wednesday at the Delta Center.
This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the clubs. Seattle won the three previous contests. Overall, the home team has won 12 of the last 14 meetings in this series. Seattle has lost 11 of 13 and 12 of its last 15 at Utah.
The Jazz enter Wednesday’s contest having lost two straight and 13 of their last 16 overall.
Utah’s last game was also against the Sonics, as it was defeated 122-105 on Saturday at KeyArena. Carlos Boozer racked up 20 points and 12 rebounds for Utah, while Mehmet Okur and Matt Harpring finished with 19 and 16 points, respectively, in the setback.
All-Star Andrei Kirilenko, who played for just the second time since missing nearly two months due to a sprained right knee, poured in 14 points in 14 minutes in a limited but effective role.
The Jazz are just 8-11 as the host this season. Utah has lost two straight and five of its last seven at the Delta Center.
Utah is scheduled to visit Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday at the Target Center before returning home to host the New Jersey Nets on Saturday. The Jazz will be playing both teams for the first time this season.
Boozer has scored in double-digits in five straight and 37 of Utah’s 42 games this season. He leads the team in scoring (19.2 ppg) and rebounding (9.5 rpg). The Duke product has registered 21 double-doubles so far in his first campaign with the Jazz.
