(Basketball News) - Greg Ostertag scored a season-high 18 points, pulled down 14 rebounds and blocked five shots in leading the Utah Jazz to a 98-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday at the Delta Center.
Carlos Arroyo scored nine of his team-high 20 points in the final minute for the Jazz, who snapped a five-game losing streak. Raja Bell and Andrei Kirilenko each netted 13 points, and DeShawn Stevenson chipped in with 11.
After the Clippers cut the deficit to 96-93 with eight seconds left, Arroyo, who made 7-of-7 foul shots in the final 60 seconds, knocked two down with three seconds left to avoid giving Los Angeles a chance to try a game-tying shot at the buzzer.
Forward Andrei Kirilenko returned to the court for the first time in five games. Kirilenko, who is Utah’s leading scorer, along with the injured Matt Harpring, at 16.2 points-per-game, had been sidelined with an ankle injury.
Utah, which improved to 18-6 at home this season, will return to action on Wednesday against Dallas.
