Utah Jazz Team Report - November 23 11.23.2004
|
(Basketball News) - The Utah Jazz fell to the New Orleans Hornets, 76-75, on Monday at the Delta Center.
Andrei Kirilenko finished with 18 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks for Utah, which failed to pick up the win on the night former Jazz point guard John Stockton had his number retired by the club.
Kirilenko missed a pair of free throws with four seconds left and Gordan Giricek had the potential game-winning basket bounce out as time expired for the Jazz, who have dropped three of four.
Utah’s Carlos Arroyo ended with 10 points, while Carlos Boozer had eight points and 10 boards for Utah.
Kirilenko has scored in double-digits in 10 of Utah’s 11 games this season. He is averaging 15.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
The Jazz are off until Wednesday when they host the winless Chicago Bulls. Last season, the teams split a pair of contests.
