(Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Clippers attempt to put the brakes on a two-game losing streak, as they welcome the Washington Wizards tonight to the Staples Center.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the clubs. On November 9th, Elton Brand scored 31 points, 19 in the second half, and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Clippers handed the Wizards a 102-97 loss at Washington.

The Clippers have won two in a row in this series.

Los Angeles returns home after going 1-2 on a three-game road trip. On Thursday, Eddie Jones scored 23 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 95-85 victory over the Clippers at FedExForum.

Brand finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds and Sam Cassell netted 21 in the loss to Memphis for the Clippers, who have dropped three of their last five games overall.

The Clippers are 23-10 as the host this season. They have won three in a row at home.

Washington tries to make it two straight wins as it plays the second of a six- game road trip. Gilbert Arenas scored 31 points as the Wizards beat the Utah Jazz, 109-97, on Thursday at the Delta Center.

Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler scored 27 points apiece in the win over Utah for the Wizards, who have won two of their last three games overall. Antonio Daniels netted 12, while Jared Jeffries ended with nine points and 12 rebounds in the victory.
