Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - Cleveland Cavaliers rookie superstar LeBron James underwent x-rays on Sunday on his injured right ankle. The results were negative but James is expected to be held out of Monday’s practice.
James suffered an ankle sprain when he came down awkwardly on his right foot after going up for a layup late in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s 102-96 overtime win at Utah. He finished with 29 points and left the Delta Center on crutches with the ankle heavily taped.
The 19-year-old Akron, Ohio native will be a game-time decision for Tuesday’s home game against the Seattle SuperSonics. James is averaging 20.4 points, 6.2 assists and 5.9 rebounds in 40 games this season.
