Orlando’s Francis inactive against Grizzlies

Memphis, TN (Basketball News) - Orlando Magic guard Steve Francis missed Friday’s game at Memphis with a bruised chest and left shoulder injury.

Francis is averaging 17.8 points and 6.2 assists per game this season for Orlando (7-7), which will end a four-game road trip Saturday night at Milwaukee.

The Magic expect their leading scorer to rejoin the team in Milwaukee, though his status for the game is uncertain.

Jameer Nelson replaced Francis in the starting lineup. The second-year guard made his first start of the season and is averaging 9.9 points in 23 minutes per game.
