Paul and Frye garner top NBA rookie honors 12.1.2005

Paul led all first-year players in scoring, assists, steals and minutes to take home the Western Conference honors. He averaged 16.4 points, 6.8 assists and 2.0 steals in 36.7 minutes per game during the month.
The fourth overall pick from Wake Forest showed off his versatility against Minnesota on November 23, posting 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in an 84-80 Hornets victory.
Frye was named the Eastern Conference’s top rookie after averaging 14.2 points and 6.1 rebounds in November.
The eighth overall pick out of Arizona, Frye has shot 51.1 percent from the floor thus far in his young NBA career and recently recorded three consecutive 20-plus point games.
On November 18 at Denver, the center netted a career-high 22 points and added eight rebounds in a 95-86 loss.
Other nominees for the Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month were Houston’s Luther Head, Atlanta’s Salim Stoudamire, Milwaukee’s Andrew Bogut, Utah’s Deron Williams and Indiana’s Sarunas Jasikevicius.
