Rose and the New York Knicks agreed on a $14.5 million buyout last week, giving the former Michigan standout his free agency.
Rose averaged 12.7 points in 26 games for the Knicks last season after being acquired from the Toronto Raptors.
Rose, a 12-year veteran, has played in 894 career games with New York, Toronto, Chicago, Indiana and Denver. Over that span, the former Michigan product has career averages of 14.7 points and 3.9 assists per game.
The Denver Nuggets originally drafted Rose with the 13th overall pick in the 1994 draft.
