The Bucks’ latest setback came on Saturday, as they were upended by the Cleveland Cavaliers, 96-88, at Quicken Loans Arena. Michael Redd paced the Bucks with 32 points and Jamaal Magloire scored 12 as, Milwaukee suffered its fifth loss in seven games.
Maurice Williams, Andrew Bogut and T.J. Ford each contributed 10 points.
Milwaukee got as close as 84-80 with 4:45 remaining on Redd’s three- point play. However, Zydrunas Ilgauskas countered with a jumper and Donyell Marshall drilled a three-pointer, as the Cavs pulled away.
Redd has scored more than 20 points in his last six games.
The Bucks, who start a two-game road trip after tonight’s tilt, are 9-7 in their arena this season.
Minnesota, meanwhile, has dropped two in a row after falling to the Dallas Mavericks 83-79 on Saturday at the AmericanAirlines Center.
Garnett had 26 points and 11 rebounds and Wally Szczerbiak netted 25 points and grabbed 10 boards for the Timberwolves, who have lost four of their last five games and 10 of their last 13.
Minnesota, which will be closing a three-game road trip tonight, has dropped six in a row on the road and is 5-10 away from home this season.
The Timberwolves defeated the Bucks earlier in the season and has won two straight and 12 of the last 13 meetings. Minnesota has also won nine of its last 11 in Milwaukee.
