(Basketball News) - Vince Carter scored 30 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, as the Toronto Raptors rallied late en route to a 108-98 win over the Seattle SuperSonics Sunday at the Air Canada Centre. Jalen Rose and Chris Bosh each registered double-doubles for the Raptors, who won their season-best fourth in a row.
Bosh finished with 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, while Rose collected 18 points and 10 assists in the victory.
Seattle took a 73-70 lead into the fourth quarter after Vitaly Potapenko hit a baseline jumper at the third-quarter buzzer.
The Sonics went up 77-71 on a tip-in by Potapenko with 10:20 left to play, but Toronto answered with a 24-6 run to take the lead for good.
After a jumper by Luke Ridnour put Seattle back up by one, the Raptors scored six straight to build a five-point cushion. Rose made a pair of free throws to give Toronto an 86-81 lead with 7:01 to play.
Lonny Baxter eventually capped the big run with a pair of free throws that gave the Raptors a 95-83 lead with 4:21 to play.
A technical free throw by Rose gave Toronto its largest lead of the game at 102-90 with 2:40 remaining.
Morris Peterson came off the Raptors’ bench to hit four three-pointers in the fourth quarter for all of his 12 points.
Toronto shot 45 percent (40-of-89) from the field, including 8-of-23 from three-point range. The Raptors made 20-of-27 from the free throw line.
The Raptors are off until Tuesday when they visit the Cleveland Cavaliers.
