Dwight Howard posted a double-double with 19 points and 15 rebounds, while Steve Francis did a little bit of everything with 18 points, nine boards and six assists.
DeShawn Stevenson added 13 points for Orlando, which won its third straight overall and its sixth straight at home.
Mike Bibby netted 17 points and Brad Miller recorded a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds for Sacramento, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
Trailing for most of the final three periods, Orlando finally tied the game in the closing seconds of regulation.
Turkoglu went right around the slower Miller and converted a layup to bring the Magic within 74-72 with 57.6 ticks left. After a defensive stop, Francis shielded his body from Miller and laid it in to tie the score at 74-74.
Sacramento had a chance to win the contest at the buzzer, but Orlando ran two defenders at Bibby forcing the guard to pass the ball to Miller, who missed a 25-foot jumper off the front rim.
The offensive futility continued in overtime.
After Kenny Thomas was whistled for a technical foul allowing Orlando to seize a 78-76 lead, Jason Hart missed a game-tying jumper from the baseline.
Francis misfired on the other end and Shareef Abdur-Rahim calmly drained two free throws to square the contest with 42.5 seconds remaining.
Orlando decided to not call timeout and Francis used a ball fake to get Hart up in the air and draw a foul. The guard made both from the charity stripe with 23.3 seconds left.
Abdur-Rahim drove baseline trying to tie the contest, but Howard altered the shot and Francis was fouled. He again made two free throws with 5.2 ticks left to seal the victory.
Sacramento went 0-of-9 from the floor in the extra session.
After a tight first period, Sacramento outscored the Magic 30-18 in the second stanza to take a 50-39 lead at the half.
However, the Kings would score fewer points in the final two quarters and overtime than they did in the second period.
Sacramento tied a season-low with nine third-quarter points, allowing Orlando to trim the deficit to 59-56.
