O’Neal, who led the Lakers to a perfect 4-0 mark this past week, averaged 24.2 points and 17.5 rebounds in those four contests. He started the week with a 27 point, 23-rebound performance in a win over the Orlando Magic on Monday. O’Neal later capped the week with a huge effort, 31 points and 26 rebounds in a victory over Milwaukee, helping him earn the award.
The Los Angeles big man also added 21 points and 11 rebounds against the Clippers on Wednesday, and two days later had 18 and 10 in the second end of the home-and-home series.
Carter garnered the weekly honor for the second time this season, recording averages of 32.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists while leading the Raptors to a 2-1 mark.
He started the week with 14 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter of a win over Utah on Wednesday. He then followed that up with 30 points in a loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Carter finished off the week with a monstrous effort in an overtime victory over New Orleans. He scored 42 points and added a career-high 12 assists in that contest.
