(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards suffered their second straight loss on Wednesday when they dropped a 115-103 decision to the New Jersey Nets at Continental Airlines Arena.
Steve Blake had 16 points while Jared Jeffries contributed 14 for the Wizards, who fell for the sixth time in their past seven games. Kwame Brown added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss.
The Wizards trailed by four at the half, but the Nets blew the game wide open in the third, outscoring Washington 36-20 in the stanza.
Washington never really threatened in the final 12 minutes.
On the injury front Brevin Knight, who netted 13 points in the loss, had to leave the game late in the third quarter after a collision.
The Wizards, who will wrap up a brief two-game road trip in Detroit on Friday, have dropped nine in a row on the road and are 4-17 away from home this season.
