(Basketball News) - The Washington Wizards were crushed Wednesday by the Los Angeles Lakers, 120-99 at Staples Center.
Jarvis Hayes scored 22 points and Juan Dixon contributed 20 for the Wizards, who have lost three of their last four contests. Larry Hughes added 13 for Washington, which played without guard Gilbert Arenas after he was placed on the injured list with an abdominal strain.
Washington last defeated the Lakers on the road on February 14, 1992.
The Wizards are off until Saturday when they host Larry Brown and the Detroit Pistons.
