Nene ended 3-of-4 from the floor and had one rebound in seven minutes of action.
The 22-year old former first round pick, who had missed the previous 13 games with a sprained left knee, was injured in a loss to the New Jersey Nets back on February 13 when he landed awkwardly on Vince Carter’s foot.
Nene is averaging 9.6 points and 5.9 rebounds this season for the Nuggets. For his career, the Brazilian native has posted 10.8 points and 6.3 rebounds in three NBA campaigns, all with Denver.
To make room for Nene on the active roster, the team placed forward/center Mark Pope on the injured list with a strained left hamstring.
