New Jersey is 1-1 on its four-game homestand and defeated Golden State by a 105-97 score on Monday. Nenad Krstic scored 26 points and pulled down 14 rebounds, and Jason Kidd posted the 81st triple-double of his career.
Kidd ended with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists, as New Jersey snapped a two-game skid and beat the Warriors at home for a ninth straight time. The Nets will also host the Los Angeles Lakers and are 6-8 at home this season.
The Cavaliers had a two-game winning streak stopped with Saturday’s 81-74 setback against the Orlando Magic at TD Waterhouse Centre.
LeBron James had 29 points for Cleveland, which has lost three straight road games. Drew Gooden ended with 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Cavs, who fell to 3-7 away from home this season. Larry Hughes also had 14 points in the loss.
Cleveland has won two straight after losing the previous five meetings with the Nets. The Cavs, though, have dropped nine of 13 at Continental Airlines Arena.
