This is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. The Nets are scheduled to host the Nuggets on December 16th at Continental Airlines Arena.
New Jersey has won six of the last seven meetings in this series. The Nets have lost three of five and four of their last seven at Denver.
The Nets play the finale of their current five-game road trip. They are 1-3 on the swing.
On Sunday, Jason Kidd scored a season-high 35 points, including five in overtime, to lift the Nets to a 102-96 win over the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. Kidd dished out 12 assists, while Nenad Krstic had 20 points and 13 rebounds in the win for New Jersey.
Kidd is averaging 15.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and a team-best 6.98 assists this season for the Nets. He has three double-doubles and on triple-double so far in the 2005-06 campaign.
New Jersey is 2-5 on the road this season. After tonight’s contest, the Nets return home for two games. They are scheduled to host Detroit on Wednesday and Toronto on Saturday.
Denver won the first contest of its current stand. On Friday, Carmelo Anthony scored 35 points on 11-of-17 shooting to lead the Nuggets over the Los Angeles Clippers, 105-95, at the Pepsi Center. Anthony knocked down 12-of-14 free throws in the win.
Former New Jersey Net Kenyon Martin poured in 16 points and Andre Miller tallied 15 points, seven assists and six boards for the Nuggets, who have won three straight over the Clippers.
The Nuggets, who have won five of their last six overall, are 6-1 at home this season. They closeout their homestand on Wednesday versus the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets.
