Nets waive Planinic

East Rutherford, NJ (Basketball News) - The New Jersey Nets have requested waivers on guard Zoran Planinic, the club announced on Friday.

Last season with New Jersey, the former first-round pick averaged just 3.4 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Taken 22nd overall in 2003, Planinic averaged 3.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 148 games over three seasons.
