=== New Jersey Nets Team Report - November 10 ===

(Basketball News) - New Jersey is coming off an ugly 64-60 win over the Portland Trail Blazers at the Meadowlands.

Alonzo Mourning scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Nets to the victory. Mourning made his first regular-season start since April 17, 2002, when he was a member of Miami.

The teams set an NBA regular-season record for fewest combined field goals made in a game (44). The 124-point total was only five more than the previous record for combined scoring futility. Boston downed Milwaukee 62-57 in 1955, the first season of the NBA’s 24-second shot clock.

Brian Scalabrine and Zoran Planinic each had 12 points for New Jersey, which won for the first time at home this season (1-2).

Travis Best (ankle) and Ron Mercer (knee) both missed the game for New Jersey, while Nets starting forward Jason Collins was forced to leave the contest with a sprained left ankle. It is unknown if Best, Mercer or Collins will be available tonight.

The Nets will continue their slate against Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center on Wednesday night. New Jersey won the final three meetings between these clubs last season, including a victory in Philly on January 27. Nonetheless, the Sixers have won 14 of the last 23 meetings, including eight of their last 11 home tilts versus the Nets.
