(Basketball News) - Jason Kidd collected 19 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to lead the New Jersey Nets past the Boston Celtics, 94-87, Friday at the FleetCenter.
Jason Collins contributed a career-high 19 points and also pulled down 13 boards for New Jersey, which halted a two-game skid. Kerry Kittles had 13 points and Aaron Williams added 11 for the Nets.
New Jersey has won the last four regular-season meetings between the two teams. The Nets also posted a four-game sweep of the Celtics in a second- round playoff series last year.
New Jersey placed forward Rodney Rogers on the injured list and activated guard Tamar Slay. Rogers has an injured thumb, while Slay had been sidelined with a shin injury. Slay played 13 minutes Friday and scored nine points.
The Nets are off until Sunday when they travel to Detroit for a rematch of last season’s Eastern Conference final.
