(Basketball News) - The New Orleans Hornets play the final contest of a five- game road trip tonight, as they visit Kenyon Martin and the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
The Hornets have lost three straight and 11 of their first 12 games to open the 2004-05 campaign. On Sunday, New Orleans fell to the Los Angeles Lakers, 89-76, at Staples Center.
Darrell Armstrong paced New Orleans with 21 points in Sunday’s loss, while David West chipped in 15 points and eight rebounds for the Hornets. Junior Harrington contributed 14 points and eight boards for New Orleans.
New Orleans All-Star center Jamaal Magloire missed the contest against the Lakers with a fractured finger. He is expected to miss three-to-four weeks with the injury.
The Hornets are 1-5 on the road this season.
Last season, Denver and the Hornets split a pair of contests. Overall, the Hornets have won five of the last six contests in this series. The Hornets have lost three of their last five are Denver.
