Keith Van Horn led New York with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Shandon Anderson had 17 in the losing effort.

Golden State took control of the contest with a 12-0 run in the third quarter. Cardinal scored five points during the spurt, including a three-pointer that started it, and Mike Dunleavy ended the run with a lay-in midway through the period.

The Warriors outscored the Knicks 34-25 in the third period and took an 83-73 into the final period.

Nine straight points to open the fourth quarter by New York drew them within one at 83-82 after a Anderson three-pointer.
