Pacers need a win in Philly

Indiana is currently 1 1/2 games behind the Orlando Magic for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Eastern Conference, and has won three of its last four games.

In Saturday’s 105-98 win over the Boston Celtics at Conseco Fieldhouse, Mike Dunleavy finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to lead the Pacers to victory.

Keith McLeod added 17 points and Jermaine O’Neal had 14 points and 14 boards for Indiana. Troy Murphy scored 16 points and Danny Granger had 15 in the winning cause.

The Pacers will hit the road to Philly, Milwaukee and Miami, and are 12-25 as the visitor this season. On the injury front for Indiana. guard Jamaal Tinsley (elbow) and center Jeff Foster (back spasms) are questionable for Tuesday.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, is 4 1/2 games off the final playoff spot with six games to go on the 2006-07 schedule. It has won two of its last three games and will wrap up a three-game homestand versus the Pacers.

The Sixers improved to 1-1 on the stand after Sunday’s 109-104 overtime win versus the Atlanta Hawks. Andre Iguodala scored 25 points and dished out eight assists, as the Sixers improved to 20-18 at the Wachovia Center this season.

Joe Smith had 18 points and Samuel Dalembert contributed 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Philadelphia. In injury news for the 76ers, forward Rodney Carney (knee) is doubtful, while Kyle Korver (wrist) is expected to miss tonight’s contest.

Tuesday’s showdown between Philadelphia and Indiana is the fourth and final matchup of the regular season. The Pacers lead the series by a 2-1 count and have won four of the last five encounters.

Indiana has won two straight, four of six and six of its last 10 trips to the City of Brotherly Love.
