=== Portland Trail Blazers Team Report - February 22 ===

(Basketball News) - Zach Randolph poured in 27 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 105-84 rout over the Boston Celtics at the Rose Garden on Saturday.

Damon Stoudamire scored 16 points and handed out seven assists for the Trail Blazers, who began the game by reeling off 22 straight points. Qyntel Woods added had a career-high 16 points and Darius Miles contributed 13 for Portland, which has won three straight games.

The Trail Blazers shot a blistering 52 percent for the game (38-of-73), compared to Boston, which made just 28-of-80 attempts (35 percent).

Portland took control of the game right from the onset as it raced out of the gate by scoring the game’s first 22 points. Derek Anderson began the lengthy burst with two free throws before Randolph scored the next eight points to widen the margin to 10-0.

After a Miles dunk, Stoudamire kept the Blazers rolling as he put in six straight, including knocking down two long jumpers, to make it an 18-point contest with just over seven minutes left in the opening quarter.

Theo Ratliff then scored from in close and Randolph capped the 22-0 run with a jumper with 6:07 left in the first quarter. Walter McCarty’s three-pointer with 5:49 left in the first quarter finally got Boston on the board after going scoreless for the first 6:11 of the game, but they still trailed 22-3.

Portland held a 32-16 lead after one and a commanding 54-36 edge at halftime. The Celtics never threatened in the second half and trailed by as many as 39 points in the final 24 minutes.

Ratliff’s six blocked shots were a Portland season-high.

The Blazers are off until Monday when they start a four-game road trip in Miami against the Heat.
