Head, Houston’s 2005 first round draft pick (24th overall), averaged 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists while being named to the NBA’s all-rookie second team.
Snyder was acquired from the Hornets in the offseason in exchange for cash considerations and a conditional 2008 second-round pick. He averaged 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds last season for New Orleans/Oklahoma City and is projected to be Houston’s starting shooting guard.
"Luther and Kirk are two young players who both have a lot of upside and we are pleased to be able to secure them through the end of next season," said Rockets general manager Carroll Dawson. "Luther showed a great deal of poise as a rookie last season and has matured into a solid young veteran. Kirk has shown a lot of promise early in camp and we look forward to seeing his continued development this season."
